SEO Myth#1. You can rank a website #1 in Google overnight with SEO. This is wrong. It’s even impossible to rank a website #1 in Google in a month or 2. (unless of course you’re promoting website with a keyword that no one else is talking about, which is sort of impossible). SEO takes months to even years to reach the first page of Google. The actual range depends on the keywords you’re aiming to rank for, it’s competitiveness, and marketability

First of all
1.You can rank a website #1 in Google overnight with SEO, this is wrong. //Also wrong for me. First of all, the day that your website became a www. is your first day in the internet and SEO at the same time. Pag from the scratch ang isang site, sa consulting services we make sure that things are ready (SEO eady) bago pa ipaindex (isubmit ang website for consideration). SEO 101, that is the process. Think of the word “overnight”. So that thing could not happen overnight.
2.It’s even impossible to rank a website #1 in Google in a month or 2. (unless of course you’re promoting a website with a keyword that no one else is talking about, which is sort of impossible). // This statement can be true or false. Depende sa keyword, keyword competition and so on. True sya if existing na ung site for that keyword and may ready na content na sya. May client kami na #7 for a tight keyword “binary options”, he asked for help and nagawa namin yan ipasok in 2 months time for #1 or #2. What we did?
2.1 Change important onpage SEO factors – Missing Sitemap, Duplicate Content, Spammy Context & More
2.2 Sustainable and balanced link building efforts, A B C D E (tactics) = link building strategy
2.3 Link pruning and disavowal.
Now ang tanong sa inyo, the challenge in SEO, can you keep that #1 position or #2 perhaps.
TRUE STORY: Sa keyword above, may competitor na inoutscore kami for 3 weeks. Nag #3 or #4 n lang kami, biglaan sila sumulpot dun. I did some research, obviously black, super sidebar sitewide links. Networked links. Forum Sig, Web 2.0 link wheel and hidden keyword texts on the top of the page.
It did outscored us but I know soon google will see their work and dump them like S**T. Tagal, trinay ko din sila isumbong >https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/spamreport?pli=1
After 3 weeks of being on top, naglaho sila. Naging #7, #23 and gone. Now naparusahan ba sila? I saw a significant melt down of backlinks pointing to their site via ahrefs tool. Maybe google did something to remove those things, maybe dahil sumbungero ako, maybe they got caught by link spam detection team…heaven knows, important na remove sila and we were able to return to #2 at least, wikipedia ahead of us.
The lesson, yes we can rank #1, but can we keep it? Why waste your energy on stuffs that won’t last when you can invest on building your audience just by (example) simply attacking places where people are talking about your topic. Talking about your products or services. Kahit mag rank ka pa #1, the questions is, does your traffic convert into something useful. Like sales, subscriptions or any.
SenukeX and Senuke XCR, article submitter, best article spinner, scrapebox, bookmarking demon name it. Dali na nyan ma track if you are not using it perfectly. Hanggang kailan ang itatagal ng spam? Google has been more active on defeating link spams. So be careful, dont waste your time on things that would last 3,4,5,6 months.

Right now, nasa airplane ako na may wifi.
Anyway. sagot ko dito, it depends.
It depends on what?
1. The keyword.
1.1. Branded or non-branded
Usually it is easier to rank for your brands, lalo na kung walang kapareho.
1.2.Unique word
As in non-dictionary word, in any language, hindi kilala.
1.3. Super long tail ba or not.
Kung super long tail, the longer the tail, the less probability of someone actually using the exact same phrase. The higher the chances of ranking right away.
2. Age of the site.
Kung bago site mo, malabong kahit ano iparank mo. Baka hindi pa nga makita site mo. Pero kung luma na site mo, indexed na at laging na cra-crawl, pag may bago kang page, kita na agad ni Google and pwedeng i rank nya agad.
3. Type of page
Is this a plain page, is it a blog post, is it a news sites.
4. Links of course
5. Competition
How competitive ba ang keyword, which also goes back to #1, the more unique it is, the less competitive it is. And #2, the older your site is, the more competitive you are over others.
If a lot of the good things above happened, then why not, pwede yan kinabukasan #1 agad. If a few of these, less likely. If none of these, parang impossible.
Keyword phrase mo phrase mo was: “Mt. Mayon’s explodes into Mt. Tagigapay as local villagers are calling it” Baka bukas #1 na ang CNN.
Ayun!
Wow! Very well said..
True.. Mag-invest sa high quality posts at White Hat SEO.. 🙂
Thank you for sharing this information. 😀
Thanks dito Sir Charlie 🙂 I’ve been wondering why my blog posts don’t appear on the day after I posted them. This clearly answers my question 🙂 Minsan pasuerte suerte lang din seguro no? My post (http://www.chemist2writer.com/2013/05/special-mango-iced-candy-recipe.html#.UbsA4Oc3CcY) has been #1 for several weeks now with “mango ice candy” as keyword to search for 😀 and #3 kung “ice candy” lang pero N/A pa page rank ko. I’m not really sure how indexing works and PRs pero am hoping that having a nice search ranking even with just 1 post can help boost my PR. Puede kaya yun? 😀
Am not well-versed with SEO but I think I should learn the ropes from experts on this site.
Thanks for sharing this very informative topic. I am a newbie when it comes to blogging that’s why I need all these useful tips .
